The project
This piece is my final assessment for the Advanced Motion Methods class from School of Motion. The brief was to take a set of illustrated styleframes and animate them using all the things I'd learned during the 9-week course.

I decided to re-design the boards and branding myself, stylistically aiming to capture three things. Firstly, the chic elegance of trendy houseplants, represented by a restrained use of colour and composition. Secondly, the more down-to-earth, roll-your-sleeves-up reality of gardening, given a nod to with some textural touches. And finally, the sense of humour implied in the script, of a target audience who are muddling through the trial and error of keeping plants and loving it, tackled with a playful, almost cartoonish animation style.

The script and VO were provided, everything else was designed, animated, and edited by me.
